What quintio does in bexio
Three chores that are otherwise manual work in bexio — shown in the interface you already know.
Accounting → VAT return
VAT as XML
Download the finished return as ESTV XML instead of retyping it.
- Complete eCH-0217 VAT declaration, ready for upload to the ESTV ePortal.
- Built-in consistency check against figure 500 of your bexio return.
- Net tax rate and flat rate periods from 2025: activity IDs per client, captured right in the export.
Accounting → Chart of accounts
Chart of accounts as PDF
Print or file the whole chart of accounts, properly typeset.
- Portrait or landscape, columns of your choice — your pick is remembered.
- Group hierarchy and inactive accounts stay recognisable.
- File name with company and date — ready to file.
Contacts → New contact
Postcode → city
You type the postcode, quintio fills the city from the official directory.
- Official Swiss locality directory by swisstopo — Liechtenstein included.
- For ambiguous postcodes, a chip offers the alternatives.
- Never overwrites what you typed yourself — every fill is marked.

From the Chrome Web Store, no restart — in Chrome, Brave and Edge from version 133.
Create an account and sign in
In the quintio panel in bexio: type your email, open the link from your inbox on the same device — the extension signs in by itself.

The three features appear right where you work in bexio — signing in unlocks them all.
Your bexio data stays in your browser.
Everything stays in the browser
Form contents, amounts and receipts never leave your browser. The extension reads bexio read-only — on the pages you already have open.
Events are names only
At most, the name of a usage event is transmitted — no contents, no postcodes, no IP addresses.
No trackers, no third-party code
No ad trackers, no third-party analytics, no remotely loaded code in the store package.
Signed out, nothing flows
Usage events are only transmitted with a connected account — and uninstalling removes the extension’s local storage.
quintio is independent and has no affiliation with bexio AG. In detail: the privacy policy →
Honestly: The extension only runs in Chromium browsers — Chrome, Brave and Edge from version 133; Firefox and Safari are out. All three features need a quintio account — it is free and created in half a minute. And the VAT return stays yours: quintio spares you the retyping, not the responsibility.
AS OF: AUGUST 2026
What’s coming next
Soon: spot duplicate invoices and receipts, and search across all of your bexio data — right inside the extension. The foundation for that is quintio Sync, which mirrors your bexio receipts into Google Drive.

What does “quintio for bexio” cost?
Nothing — all three features are free. All you need is a free quintio account; signing in unlocks everything.
Why do I need a quintio account?
The features are delivered through your account — the postcode directory too. Signing in once is enough: the extension stays connected, and the portal shows you at any time which connection exists. Signed out, no usage events are transmitted.
Which browsers does the extension run in?
Chromium browsers: Chrome, Brave and Microsoft Edge from version 133 — installed from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox and Safari are not supported.
Does quintio see my bexio data?
No. Form contents, amounts and receipts stay in your browser. At most, the name of a usage event is transmitted — no contents, no postcodes, no IP addresses. To the privacy policy →
Can I file the XML directly with the ESTV?
Yes. The file is a complete eCH-0217 VAT declaration, exactly what the ESTV ePortal expects on upload. Before the download, a consistency check compares the amounts against figure 500 of your bexio return. Guide: export VAT as XML →
Does the extension overwrite my input in bexio?
No. It only fills the empty city field and marks the fill with the line “City filled by quintio”. What you type yourself stays — and the extension writes nothing back into bexio.
Is quintio made by bexio?
No. quintio is an independent product by rombro ag and has no affiliation with bexio AG.
