Connecting bexio — step by step

Here is how you connect bexio in about a minute: log in to the portal, click “Connect bexio”, sign in directly at bexio and confirm read access, check the detected company — done. quintio never receives your bexio password and cannot change anything in your bexio: all permissions are read-only.

Step by step

1. Log in to the portal at app.quintio.ch — with email, magic link or Google. Your quintio account is independent of bexio; bexio is never your login, only ever a connection.
2. Click “Connect bexio”. The button sits right on your account’s home page (and later in the company list when you connect further companies).
3. Sign in at bexio and confirm access. You land on bexio’s own consent screen — sign in there with your bexio login and confirm the access. quintio requests read permissions exclusively (receipts, sales and purchase documents, contacts, subscription information); quintio cannot create, change or delete anything.
4. Check the company. Back in the portal, quintio shows you the detected bexio company for confirmation — one look, one click.
5. Continue with Google Drive. Right after that comes the wizard’s second step, “Connect Google Drive” — the mirror can only run with both connections in place.

Success check: your company appears in the company list, and quintio starts the free preview — your newest receipts are already being mirrored. You then start the full sync of your entire history with “Start syncing”.

What you see on the bexio screen

The consent screen belongs to bexio, not quintio — two things there deserve an explanation:

• One entry appears as technical text (something like consent.scope.subscription_and_permissions.title). That is a known display glitch on bexio’s side — behind it is the read permission for your subscription information (so quintio knows which document types your plan exposes via the API). Safe to confirm.
• The list is long. bexio keeps a separate permission per document type — they are all read permissions throughout.

Connecting several companies

For every further bexio company, simply repeat steps 2 to 4 — each company gets its own folder in your Google Drive, which you connect only once. If you try to connect an already-connected company, the portal tells you: the existing connection simply stays active, nothing is duplicated.

And if something does not work?

• Wrong bexio account? Sign out of bexio and restart the connection — quintio always connects the account you sign in with on the bexio screen.
• Cancelled on the bexio screen? No problem — just click “Connect bexio” again; an aborted attempt leaves nothing behind.
